FM 2011 Scouts and Scouting Tips

Hello Dear FMAddicteds,

One of the most exciting point of this game is scouting without any doubt. Finding a wonderkid before he becomes obvious is non-explainable joy. But how will it be possible ? Of course not by yourself. Come on! This is a team work thing and you can not do everything by yourself. So you need some helpful staff who are very good at going and finding the wonderkid.. I call them "Wonderkid Smeller" They smell the wonderkind and find him whereever he is hidinng
These wonderkid seekers or smellers should be really good at their specialization and deserve their nick. OK but what you should pay attention while you hire a scout to your staff ? What do you care in his attributes ? Ummm, I hear two things: Judging Player Ability and Potentia... Oh no, this is not so easy scout is more than two attributes.

First rule: scouting knowledge or country knowledge. The scout should be familiar to the country that you send to prepare reports about the potentials. If he does not know that league, how can he prepares report for you as soon as possible. One other scout with familiar to that league prepares his report and maybe finds the hot prospect before you. So you should at first pay attention to scouting knowledge for a league.

Second point that you should pay attention should be determination. A scout with high determination attribute will prepare you reports about potentials easier compared to a scout with low determination attribute. Determination defines the scout ability to find the best ones for your team and shows the innermotivation of the scout to find a hot prospect.

 Eduardo Macia comes with a huge deep knowledge abou Spain league and he will be very key scout for your future team.

My second favourite is also Oliver Bierhoff with his full knowledge about BundesLiga.
