WestBrom Story- Season 2- Difficult Times and Squad Depth

Hello FM Addicteds,

Yesterday I have given a short brief  about the first half of the season 2. As you know,  I have lost Jonas Olsson, my best defender, at the end of the last season and what a pity I  could not find a better replacement at the center back. I have some young talents like Miquel Ignasi, Tiago Ilori but they need time to settle down. Until that time we had really difficult times. Especially at first 10 weeks, I felt the season gone at the start.

3 wins, 3 drawns and 5 losts are the main indicator of the bad days. I have renewed my defensive line, my goalie and this result is the consequencies of these risks.  By the way, to open a paranthesis for my goalie Sinan, he had really difficult time in the Hawthorns and I even sent him 1 week away to home.

One day, I believed that it is needed to shrinken to team and arranged a meeting with the team. I think this feature is very useful and makes the game more real. During the team meeting, I have shared my concerns with the team and Thanks to God, the reactions were better than I expected.

I think they have also seen the situation from the point of me. So that, we started to rise on the table.

Indeed, the most important thing at these situations is to be able to keep calm and show the team passion. Teamwork is really important and maybe more important than having individual stars. I am trying to give chances to every player and focusing on their trainings.


Squad Depth

Compared to last season, my defensive line has weakened, I am aware of this but I am sure that next season it will be better if the newcomers shows a good rise in their potential.
