West Brom Story- Season 2- A Tiring Season for The Baggies

There's a good saying in my country: "No glory passes from the  green-flowered gardens"  If you want to achieve a goal, you should work hard till you see the light.

I can summarize this season with the sentences mentioned above.

In my last season story post, I mentioned about the difficult time in the team. First, I should say that we had one of the weakest defensive teams in the league. There was nothing to do for that time. We have lost Olsson and to be honest, I looked for him oftenly.



However, team spirit is very high and this makes me happy. Because, even if you do not have star players, you can still be a champion with the team work and I can assure you that we are one of them. We have a good attacking power apart from weak defence and this is why i have an attacking mentality and tactical formation.. I am trying to scoring 1 more than I conceded.  I think fans like this. Football is all about entertainment and fans worth their money when they come to The Hawthorns.

Take a look at the squad depth and you will understand what I mean.

 In this this table shows what I should take actions for the next season.. I will definitely buy at least 2 quality defenders and to be able to do this, maybe I will sacrifice one or two of my young but precious players.

Ok, after this pessimistic atmosphere, lets break this and let me give you really shocking good news :)

 
First of all, I did my best at league and I believe that I deserved this place in the league. Next season, I willl increase the shift and I will not accept this position as success.  As you see I have finished the season at 7th position with 18 wins, 5 drawns, and 15 losts.. As a result, we have scored 65 goals and conceded 61 goals. As I said, we tried to score 1 more than we conceded and I think we are no so bad at compared to our position.

By the way, please pay attention to Chelsea at the league table. It was a terrible season for them. They are at 6th position but more interesting that, they could score only 48 goals but conceded less than half of mine :) WestBrom is the most conceding team between the first 12 teams but 5th most scoring team at the league.

I have really quality goal machines and they did their best... Especially, Shane Long, Simon Cox deserve my best wishes.  But I should really send my thanks to Dorrans, Morrison and Long. They have given shoulders to team with their goals and assists.

As you see, Shane Long showed an increadible effort with 30 goals, 7 assists, and 11 man of the match. Dorrans and Morrison also did their best and as you see they are following Shane Long at goals stats. (what has happened to my another striker, Odemwingie.. I do not know but really I want to know...)

Graham Dorrans, our captain, and James Morrison are one the best players at my tactics 4-2-3-1. Morrison is a good winger and Dorrans is the best AMC at my squad.

While we are talking about stats, the most playing players are Mulumbu, my main engine in my midfield, and Craig Dowson. Craig had a good chance after Olsson left West Brom and indeed I did not have a better option so I had to trust Dawson.. Did he let me down ? To be honest, he is a young talent and home grown player so he deserves credit.

Another man under the shadow who deserves praises is Adam Johnson. I have joined him at the last week of the first half transfer season and he played at 12 matches. At this 12 matches, he scored 5 goals and made 7 assists.

Last but not the least, I think Emre Can will be one of my best transfers.
