Hello FMAddicteds,
In my previous post, I have posted about the first half of the season and you are all aware that we made a really good and unexpected start to the season. Compared to pre-season odds, we are very far from the guesses :) Thanks God that far from the odds works on behalf of us.
Now I will continue with Euro Cup matches and other matches except Premier League.
Lets start with Euro Cup.
WestBrom's opponents were Salxburg, Standard and Astra. It was an easy group for us and we have easily qualified with 4 wins, 2 drawns.
I am happy with Jordan Ayew and Yaya Sanogo's contribution. They are definitely making us stronger and make the fans look at future hopefully.
Transfer News:
At the start of 2014, Westbrom was silent at the transfer market. I spent enough at the start of the season but I did not miss the opportunities when i came across.
Two years ago, I did my best to add Carlos Kameni to the squad but he had no intention to join us. But after my success at especially Euro Cup, WestBrom's popularity increased and consequently after two years, once again I knocked the door for Carlos Kameni. This time, Kameni had on hand his transfer fee.
I offered him a good contract and I am so happy that he accepted. So we made a really good gaining with this transfer. With Carlos Kameni's transfer I found another opportunity : selling Sinan Bolat.
Maybe I will be criticized with this decision but last season I was not happy with Sinan's performance. Last season he appeared on 55 matches and he conceded 68 goals. (more than 1 goals per match)
I offered Sinan to clubs and to be honest I was happy with the reactions.
I have sold Sinan to Espanyol for €7.5 M. It is a good deal and profit deal for us. Last season I have paid €6M for him and earned €1.5 M at one season. Sinan was a good investment. I wish him good successes at Espanyol.
Now I have two quality goalkeeper: David Ospina and Carlos Kameni.. but i will never stop looking for new bargains and opportunities ;)
Keep following
