My FM 2010 Career- Season 2 - 2010-2011 ~ FM Addicted

Hi dear FM Addicteds,

In my previous My FM 2010 Career post I have written my first season and happy end. The first year i have not made big changes, i watched my players and their potential carefully. At the end of the season i have some thoughts and plans for future.

My players exhausted because of tight schedule and they deserved a long holiday. Because of this i have not arranged so many friendly matches. Just for 6 matches and 2 of them was with my reserves and U18 team to keep my eyes on them too.

I also wanted to see my players to challenge giant teams like Real Madrid. The result was not the one i have expected but it is still promising for future.

After the first championship in my first season in Tottenham, confidence for next season is quite good for me.

Another point i pay attention is general overview of club for each season. For example financial status, stadium capacity, ticket prices, training facilities, youth facilities. Especially training and youth facilities are very crucial in my job... Because i am the one looking for hot prospects and the best thing i want to live is to grow the stars in my own hands.

I take into account some other statistics. I like comparision between my team and premier league average. When you look at the statistics it is seen that my team average age is under the premiere league average.. I have a young team at this moment. I always believe the youngers... Oldies are goldies and i know that oldies know the shortcuts but youngs know how to run fast... I like running fast and so does my team

I keep my eyes on financial status of my club very tightly. I am not mean ofcourse but i am not the guy splashing money carelessly. I try to give my players money that make them happy.. Not too less and not too much.. When you look at the statistics, you will notice that average wage in my team is over the premiere league average. This helps teamspirit.. This is my belief.

Season ticket holders is another point i want to see it is increasing continously. It means that my fans are happy with the team and me and the football... This is what we are trying to do...

Now lets talk about transfers. During the transfer season i have bought four promising players.

Especially Luis Guilherme is my best transfer per payment. He is only 40 K and he is a leading promising goal keeper. I am really happy to see him in my team. He will be a good back up for my goalkeeper Gomes. Besides, two young defence and one promising defensive midfielder are others new comers to Spurs.

My favourite transfer between these players is Necip. This young guy is very promising and i admire his talent. I am sure that he will not regret me. My assistant coach is also in the same thought with me that he gave the shirt to Necip in his first days in matches.

After Necip i have signed Marchetti from Roma. I splashed 2 million Euro and i hope he will pay this money back with much more. He is only 17 years old but after a long scouting i have decided to sign him and i think i did the right one. I will train him as a shadow of Geret Bale and i know he will be a good back up

Another promising signing is Papadopoulos. This Greek guy is central defence and his physical attributes are very attractive... He will be a good defence in my team.

It is interesting that my fans show incredible interest to Papadopoulos. They got excited with this signing.. But to be clear i am more excited for Necip.

Now lets take a look at to my staff... The worst news in staff side was losing Delgado Meco He is one of the best coaches who i have ever seen in FM 2010 and whatever i have tried to keep him, he did not accept me and left Tottenham. I did not expand my actual Goalkeeper coach (Perry Suckling) and he left team after his contract over. I made a revolution in my staff after i have more reserve for coaches. I have signed 2 young coaches for my young teams, 5 coaches for general trainings, 2 goalkeeper coach, and 1 world class fitness coach (Roland Koch)

The rising stars in my new staff are Roland Koch, Fausto Salsano, Angel Vales, Paula Paixao. They will prepare Tottenham to a legendary season.

I talked about my signings but ofcourse i have sold some of my players too... Marek Suchy was a very profitable sell. I have signed him only 875 K and sold him 5.75 M to Newcastle... That was so lovely movement :) Besides Sevilla splashed 21 million euro to Wilson Palacios and i could not resist not to sell him and i accepted the offer. As total, I have earned 38 million Euro from these sells and this will give me a good opportunity to buy new signings freely.
